Every business on Mountains and River is checked by hand before its listing goes live. This page explains what we check, what the “Details checked” date on each profile means, and what a listing does not promise.
We look up the ABN on the Australian Business Register and make sure it is active and matches the business.
For trades and health businesses, we check the licence or registration they need, such as a NSW Fair Trading licence or AHPRA registration.
We check the phone number, email address and website, so your enquiry reaches the right people.
Every business is based in, or services, the Blue Mountains, Penrith or the Hawkesbury.
We only list businesses that want to be listed. Before a listing goes live, we send the owner the details to check and confirm.
We write each profile with the owner, so the services, areas, opening hours and photos are right.
Each profile shows the date we last checked the business’s details. It tells you when we confirmed the business was registered, licensed where it needs to be, and reachable on the details shown.
We check listings again over time and update the date when we do. If a business tells us something has changed, we update the listing as soon as we can.
A listing on Mountains and River is not an endorsement or a guarantee. We do not inspect work, check insurance or vouch for the quality of a job.
Before you hire anyone, we suggest getting a written quote, checking any licence on the NSW Government website and reading their reviews.
Businesses are listed in alphabetical order. Mountains and River is run by JS Website Design, and JS Website Design clients are listed in exactly the same way as everyone else. If we ever offer paid placements, they will always be clearly labelled.
We link to each business’s Google reviews rather than copying them onto the profile, so you always see the full, unedited picture.
If a detail on a listing is out of date, or you have a concern about a business, please let us know. We look into every report.
